• Faculty of Geography has four undergraduate programs which offer bachelor degrees, majoring in:
    - Environmental geography
    - Economic geography and regional development
    - Demographic and Social geography
    - Cartography, Remote sensing and GIS
Undergraduate degrees involves a wide range of lectures, practical classes and field trips, organized in a four-year course as the basis. Students are required to obtain a prescribed number of credits with the option to conduct a minor research (and graduation thesis) for the completion of the course. About 100 undergraduates are admitted each year.

Besides courses taught in Vietnamese, we also offer a French based undergraduate course under the cooperation with AUF (Francophone University Agency) since 1998. In this program, students are provided French langue training and are required to take 6 core subjects which are taught in French by professors from our partner universities from France (Toulouse Le Mirail university, Pau University, and Strasbourg University). They also have to write a graduation thesis of their minor research and present it in French. On the completion of this program, students will obtain two bachelor degrees, one from our partner French universities.

    GENERAL STRUCTURE

STRUCTURE OF THE GEOGRAPHICAL KNOWLEDGE IN THE CIRRICULUM

Fieldtrip forms an integral part of our educational programs. Fieldtrips are designed to help students to gain the practical knowledge and skills on site and for them to develop their abilities, particularly observational skills, survey methods, working with communities, and teamwork. Every year, our faculty organizes 5 field trips for undergraduates including one fieldtrip on basic geographical knowledge and skills for the first and second-year students and skills and four fieldtrips on specialized knowledge and skills for third year students.
